Meet Adept Studio,
Koen
(where I started)
Before becoming a designer, I built my career in marketing.
I studied marketing extensively and started working in the field early on, growing from marketing responsible to a marketing manager. Along the way, I worked on strategy, campaigns, brand communication, digital projects, and everything in between.
But even from the very beginning, design kept pulling me in. I never really wanted to outsource design work. Whenever I had an idea for a campaign, a brand asset, a website, or a piece of collateral, I wanted to bring it to life myself.

(how I continued)
So I learned by doing. Not in theory, but in real working environments, where the things I designed had to be used, tested, judged, improved, and actually perform.
Over time, that hands-on approach taught me the ins and outs of branding, web design, web development, visual communication, and digital design.
After years of combining marketing work with design execution, I realised that design was the part that made me happiest. So I made the shift and fully pivoted into design.

(where I am now)
That path led me to Ooho, a specialised marketing agency working in life sciences, biotech, and medtech.
I still work there today alongside running Adept Studio, and have grown into the role of Creative Director, working together with the team on a wide range of international clients.
Are you ready to discuss your next project?
